Hi! My name is Ketta Ivory. I am 16 years old and I have a sister named Cas. Cas is 11 years old so she is not entered this year. My mom, Terra doesn't have a job. She takes car of my sister, and because I am a teenager I can take care of myself. She goes out and buys food from the market and trades goods for things we need. I usually cook dinner for my family as best as I can. My dad Huck works as a Blacksmith. He makes the weapons and tools for Panem. I usually go out with him and help him work on his tools. After 6 years of doing this with him I have become very familiar with tools and weapons. When he doesn't need me to help him I go into town and trade with people at the market and the surrounding shops. The upcoming reaping is very intense throughout the district. Everyone gets quiet and they usually keep to them selves. I don't like the reaping but I know it has to happen for The Hunger Games. I do get nervous but I dont show it because people from the other districts can target me as being week. My family isn't poor however we do need some help with food and oil. I have entered my name in for a tesserae ever scince I was 14. My sister means the world to me so i will never let her enter for a tessarae. She is too vulnerable. She knows nothing about weapoms or protecting her self.

District 2 has an industry in masonry, which is the work of stone. We are one of the wealthiest districts of Panem. We manufacture the weapons for Panem and we also train the Peacekeepers. My district is very loyal to the Capitol and are treated better than the other Districts because of our loyalty to the Capitol during the first rebel.
